- Rabeel Warraich’s father owned a travel agency in Islamabad, Pakistan. His family travelled abroad yearly during his growing-up years.
- During his school education, his peers nicknamed him MIT after he disclosed his goal to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA.
- After he graduated from MIT, he started his career in 2008 as an investment banking analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions division of the investment banking company, Morgan Stanley in London, United Kingdom.
- From 2011 to 2017, he worked as the vice president of the private equity division of GIC (Government of Singapore Investment Corporation) Private Limited in London, UK.
- During this period, he formed an investment consortium with other finance professionals who shared his interest in high-growth startup companies. Their first investment was in Spotify, a Swedish audio-streaming and music provider.
