- Sachin Sarjerao belongs to a farmer’s family in Atpadi Taluka, Sangli district in India.
- During his childhood, a bicycle incident led to a fracture in his left arm. The fracture did not recover and further became a reason for Gangrene and restricted the movement of his left hand.
- While pursuing his graduation, he began playing Javelin Throw and found a passion for the game; however, during one of the college-level competitions, he suffered a shoulder injury.
- The injury led to Sarjerao to shift from Javelin to Shot Put.
- During the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships, Sachin Sarjerao set a record in the Shot Put with a best throw of 16.21m at the men’s shot put F46 event.
