- Sandeep Nangal was an Indian professional kabbadi player. Sandeep was a kabaddi specialist who specialised in the stopper position. Except for Punjab, he had ruled the sport for more than a decade and had played in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
- Sandeep Ambia, a Kabaddi player, decided to pursue a career in the sport when he was relatively young. He used to train for more than 5 to 6 hours every day to improve his muscles and flexibility. m In 2006, he joined the Vaccuar Kabaddi Club and began playing Kabaddi. He also received an Alto 800 automobile for his outstanding performance in matches during the tournament.
- Sandeep was the head of the Major Kabaddi League Federation and one of the top five Kabaddi players in the world. In various Kabaddi World Cup competitions, he captained the United Kingdom team.

Sandeep had come here for his team at the kabaddi match and around 6 pm in the evening, four unidentified youths who came in a Swift car opened fire at him, killing Sandeep on the spot and one of his friend also sustained bullet injuries, whose condition is now stable.”
He added,
We have done a preliminary investigation but the cause of the attack is yet unknown, though the killers will soon be arrested.”
- Assailants can be seen standing amidst woods shooting someone in a video that has gone viral of the incident. Near an open arena where a match is taking place, at least seven to eight rounds are fired. The competition was halted in the middle of its run when the assailants started fire. Following that, the suspects took off.
