- On 10 April 2005, Shekar Basha began his career as a video jockey on the Telugu music channel Gemini Music.
- He hosted over 3,000 live shows on the Gemini Music channel, but he became well-known for his work on two particular shows titled ‘Hi Bujji,’ a kids-themed TV show, and ‘SundayHum-Sandeham,’ a live comedy show with a teacher-student theme.
- He worked as a video jockey at Sun Network Limited in Hyderabad from April 2005 to April 2012.
