  • Shena Gamat actively participated in theatre in childhood.
  • Her first major amateur role was as Anne Frank, at the age of 13 years, in a stage show in Bangalore.
  • She and her ex-husband, Amit Saigal, co-founded the music magazine Rock Street Journal (RSJ) in 1993.
  • She continued with RSJ until 2004 and organized events such as The Great Indian Rock (a platform for original rock music).
  • She co-founded a theatre company named Barefoot Theatre in 2007.
  • Some of her theatre productions were, ‘The Pink Balloon’ (2007) and ‘Snakes’ (2018).
