• He had an affair with his 24-year-old niece, Sajal Sindhu for 10 years before they got married.

• They fell in love while studying at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

• The couple belongs to the village Manua of Hajipur district in Bihar.

• Shiv Shakti Kumar hit the news in August 2024 after it was revealed that he had married his niece.

• According to reports, he met with Sajal Sindhu and a boy in his chambers on 12th August 2024 and later disappeared.

• His cousin, Arun Kumar Rai, met with Municipal Corporation Mayor, Pinky Devi, and Municipal Commissioner, Satyendra Kumar Singh, and claimed that Shiv Shakti Kumar had kidnapped his niece.

• The Municipal Corporation Mayor formed a 3 member committee to investigate the case. The Mayor claimed that Shiv Shakti had been on vacation without permission.
