- Shiva Narwal’s family is originally from the Kathura village in Sonepat, Haryana.
- At a younger age, Shiva Narwal liked to play Kabaddi and played in state-level competitions. He did not pursue it further when his attention shifted to air pistol shooting, his elder brother’s chosen sport.
- He started training in air pistol shooting at a training centre in Rohtak at age 11 in 2017.
- His elder brother, Manish Narwal, who has won the nation’s top two sporting Awards (Major Dyan Chand Khel Ratna Award and Arjuna Award), is his inspiration.
- He won 10 medals at the 64th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) in 2021.
