• Suraj Chavan grew up in a financially poor family in Modhave Village, Baramati.

• He lost his parents when he was too young. His father passed away from Cancer. His mother was so affected by his father’s untimely demise that she fell severely ill. One day she vomited blood and her health worsened. A few days later, her mother passed away. His grandmother also passed away on the same day.

• After the death of his parents, his elder sister raised him.

• Suraj could not study after class 8 due to financial constraints.

• After passing class 8, Suraj began working as a labourer, earning just Rs. 300 a day.
