  • Surinder Singh is an Indian Kabaddi player. He has represented Himachal Pradesh in various national tournaments. He has played for U Mumba and Telugu Titans in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and captained U Mumba in PKL seasons 9 and 10.
  • He started playing Kabaddi while playing in school under his coach Sushil and later enrolled at the SAI (Sports Authority of India) hostel in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. Due to some issues in his family, he returned to his village after two years in the SAI hostel where he kept playing Kabaddi in the local competitions.

  • From 3 to 7 January 2016, he played for Himachal Pradesh in the 42nd Junior National Kabaddi Championship held at Ujjain, MP and from 21 to 25 December 2016, he played in the 43rd Junior National Kabaddi Championship held at Baroda, Gujarat.

  • From 5 to 8 November 2016, he competed for Himachal Pradesh in the 64th Senior National Kabaddi Championship held at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. From 31 December 2017 to 5 January 2018, he participated in the 65th Senior National Kabaddi Championship held at Hyderabad, Telangana. From 28 to 31 January 2019, he played in the 66th Senior National Kabaddi Championship held at Roha, Raigarh, Maharashtra.

  • From 2 to 6 March 2020, he played in the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championship held at Jaipur, Rajasthan. From 13 to 16 April 2021, he competed in the 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship (Men) held at Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. From 21 to 24 July 2022, he played in the 69th Senior National Kabaddi Championship held at Charkhi Dadri, Haryana.
  • In 2017, on the advice of his coach Jaipal, Surinder Singh took part in the programs of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) for identifying youth talent, the Future Kabaddi Heroes initiative and later the New Young Players (NYP) initiative.

  • In 2017, U Mumba acquired from the youth programs for Rs 6 lakhs for PKL season 5 and later retained Surinder for seasons 6 in 2018 for Rs 6.60 lakhs and season 7 in 2019 for Rs 37.50 lakhs. His skills improved while playing alongside Fazel Atrachali and Anup Kumar.

  • In 2021-22, he was acquired by Telugu Titans for Rs 55 lakhs for PKL season 8. In 2022, U Mumba acquired him for PKL season 9 for Rs 35.50 lakhs and later appointed him as their captain. U Mumba retained him as a skipper in season 10 in 2023-24.

  • In 2021, he started playing for Punjab Kings in season 1 of the Star Kabaddi League and later played in seasons 2 and 3.

  • Surinder revealed once in an interview that his school friends thought that he was slow and bullied him. They threw him in the mud when it rained and often made fun of him. Surinder used to attend school in a wet uniform after washing his clothes in a nearby gurudwara. Two of his seniors got selected in the military after which school management honoured the duo. Surinder got inspired after watching them and decided to do something big. He started practising with a sack after filling it with sand and gained size and strength.

  • In an interview, he revealed that he once read a comment on one of his social media posts which made him very angry. He was playing in Mumbai at that time and sent his location to the person who commented and asked him to say such things to his face instead of comments.
