• He once revealed an incident in 2019 that solidified his resolve to stop the illegal border crossings. In 2003, he once found a trailer in Victoria, Texas where 19 people had died including a 5-year-old boy who died due to suffocation.

• He also talked about an incident when a person crossed the border illegally but was attacked by coyotes. That person had one leg in his hand when Homan found him.

• Many people protested outside his house against his actions. Some of them even called him racist but he said he wasn’t affected by that as he knew in his heart that he was securing his country.
