  • In her childhood, she was beaten by her father due to which she developed obsessive-compulsive behaviour. She even dropped out of her school, to join an all-girl music band.
  • While growing up, Trisha and her mother faced racism.
  • When Trisha was 14 years old, she was sexually assaulted.
  • At the age of 15, she did a part-time job at Woolies in Egham, Surrey for a wage of £5 a day.  At that time, she used to steal sweets from the pick ‘n’ mix.

  • After her mother’s demise, she came to know that whom she thought was her biological father was not her biological father.
  • When she left school, she worked at a costume shop Morris Angel & Son in Shaftesbury Avenue for £17 a week.
  • She also worked as a flight attendant for the Gulf Air. While she was working there, she survived a plane crash. After quitting the job as a flight attendant, she worked as a travel writer for a magazine.

  • She met the Australian politician Robert Nestdale in 1985 while she was working as a flight attendant. There were rumours that Robert was gay and reportedly, that was the reason she parted ways with him. Robert died of AIDS complications in 1989. Trisha once said that Robert was physically abusive to her.
