• In an interview, Satish revealed that he was completely disheartened by the sudden demise of his son Shanu Kaushik. After sixteen years of his son’s demise, Vanshika was born through surrogacy. Satish talked about how her daughter Vanshika changed his life and said,

• Satish, in an interview, stated that he was devastated and shattered after the sudden death of his son Shanu Kaushik in 1996. He talked about how he transformed into a better person after the birth of her daughter and said,
  

  I avoid going to parties now, I have become calmer. I even control my diet and drinking because of her. I had lost my son 20 years back, when I was at the peak of my career. I couldn’t really get time to even feel that loss. Ab Vanshika ke aane se sab baraabar ho gaya. All the unsettled emotions are somewhere settled with Vanshika’s arrival.”

• Satish celebrated Holi with his friends in New Delhi on 8 March 2023. On 9 March, in the early morning, Satish complained about feeling uneasy and restless after which his driver took him to the Fortis Hospital in Gurugram. However, while on his way to the hospital, he suffered a heart attack following which he succumbed to death, at the age of 66. The same day, recalling the memories of her father, Vanshika took to Instagram and shared a throwback picture with her father.
