- Yugendran is an Indian Singaporean actor, singer, host, and music director, who is known for singing many songs in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. In 2023, he appeared as a contestant in the Tamil reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ season 7, which aired on Star Vijay and Disney+ Hotstar.
- Yugendran’s father was a Malaysian-origin Tamil playback singer-actor Malaysia Vasudevan.
- He began his journey in the music industry as a Mridangamist and gave his first solo performance when he was just 10 years old.
- He started to perform alongside his father at stage shows both in India and abroad. Up until the age of 14, he even sang the female parts in duets performed by his father. After his voice changed, he started doing solo performances in various countries like Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States, all before establishing himself as a playback singer.
- He was originally set to make his acting debut in Raja Kantheeban’s Tamil film ‘Mouname’ in 1998; however, the project got shelved, and he couldn’t make his acting debut at that time.
