• While Deepika was studying in school and college, she was one of the toppers. While growing up, she started developing an interest in acting, and while she was in college, she joined theatre classes.

• She once shared that when she was in class 8, her father went bankrupt and could not pay her school fees. She was even insulted by her school’s principal for not paying the fees. Her principal said,
  

  If you were not capable then why did you come to such a big school?”
