Some Lesser Known Facts About Aniket Choudhary

During his school days, Aniket used to play basketball as there wasn’t any cricket team in his school but he used to play cricket daily in his home with a light bat and ball.

When his father saw his interest towards cricket, his family shifted from Bikaner to Jaipur in 2004 to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional cricketer. His father enrolled him in Surana Cricket Academy, Jaipur.

He later got chance to work with the former South Africa bowler ‘Meyrick Pringle’ who worked in his late friend Shamsher Singh’s local academy in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

He made his first-class debut in 2011 for ‘Rajasthan’ against ‘Rest of India’ at Jaipur, in which he picked 4 wickets in first innings.

In 2013, ‘Kings XI Punjab’ bought him for the ‘2013 Indian Premier League’ (IPL) auction but he didn’t get the chance to play.

In 2016, he was chosen to come to the Indian nets for bowling Indian batsmen and helping the team to prepare for the New Zealand cricketer Trent Boult.

After that, he got selected to play for ‘India A’ against ‘Bangladesh’ in which he picked 4 wickets.

In 2017, ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’ (RCB) bought him for Rs. 2 crores for the ‘2017 Indian Premier League’ (IPL) auction.

In 2018, ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’ (RCB) again bought him for Rs. 30 lakhs for the ‘2018 Indian Premier League’ (IPL) auction.
