  • At the age of 12, he moved to the suburbs of Orlando, Florida with his family. He studied at Dr. Phillips High School, Orlando where he was the school’s lacrosse team captain. Darren Barnet as a Child
  • When he was in high school, he has no life outside academics and sports. Talking about it, he said,

    My mom, a single parent who, at the time, was very low-income said I had to go to a better school. I took a test to get into a school across town and was admitted into a magnet program. I had to take three college classes a semester. I had to keep a 3.5 GPA to stay. I never went to one party, never had a sip of alcohol. Honestly, I had no life outside of academia and sports because my mom told me, “We can’t afford college, but you have to go. So, wherever you go, you have to get a full ride.” So, that was the pressure on me.”

  • While studying at Berry College, he used to act in college plays and undertook small acting assignments. Simultaneously, he also began to make films.
  • After his graduation from Berry College, he moved back to Los Angeles to follow his dream of acting. There, he worked as a bike attendant and front desk associate for SoulCycle, a cult-followed indoor cycling class center in Sunset Boulevard.
  • He grew up writing poetry, which naturally transitioned to writing lyrics. He is also a music composer and writer and writes music under the pen name ‘Charlie Sound.’
  • He also acted in the popular television shows- S.W.A.T (2017) and Criminal Minds (2017).
  • In 2018, he made a film titled “Glass,” which was a semi-finalist at Burbank International Film Festival.
