Controversies	• In June 2011, Randy Orton created a stir during an interview on radio, by calling former WWE Diva, Kelly-Kelly a slut. Also, he openly admitted to a drug over dose adding more heat to the fire. • Former WWE superstar, Mr.Kennedy, blames Randy Orton for his firing from the company. In an interview, the former stated that Randy made a huge fuss about being hit on the neck by his move, which according to Mr. Kennedy was a false allegation, as Orton's head never touched the mat. This instance eventually led to Kennedy's firing. • In 2007, Orton made damages worth $50,000 to a hotel in United Kingdom, which he had to pay from his pocket and was sent back home immediately in between the WWE’s tour to UK. • Orton has been suspended numerous times for violating the WWE wellness policy.

• Wrestling is in Orton’s blood. His father ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton and uncle Barry Orton are both former professional wrestlers. Notably, Bob Orton was inducted into the WWE hall of fame in 2005, after which he has made many ringside/crowd appearances alongside Randy.

• Before joining the WWE developmental, Orton was a US marine. Because of regular disciplinary issues and poor code of conduct, Orton was coat martialed and sent to 38 days of military prison. It was due to this reason that he had to be replaced by The Miz for the lead role in the movie Marine 3.
