  • She was born and brought up in a middle-class singer family in Bhojpur, Bihar.
  • Since childhood, she was interested in singing. While she was studying in school and college, she participated in various singing competitions.
  • She considers her mother as her first teacher as she did her initial training singing and playingthe  harmonium under her mother.
  • She started practicing singing with her mother through harmonium in her childhood. Her mother taught her to play harmonium.
  • She then did her professional training in singing under later Shiv Prasad Pandey.
  • Chandan Tiwari mainly sings in Bhojpuri, Nagpuri, Awadhi, and Hindi.
  • While she was studying in school, she performed the song “Deshwa Ke Dihalu Vardan Maiya Bharti” for the first time in public.
