• Kareema Barry is a well-known Indian social media celebrity who is known for her “Types” videos in which she comically portrayed the types of people of a particular category.

• When Kareema was studying at Welland Gouldsmith School in Kolkata, she actively participated in debates. and later, became the president of her school’s public speaking club. Her love for public speaking continued even when she was studying in college.

• In 2012, Kareema started her channel on YouTube and uploaded her first video titled ‘Types Of People On Birthdays.’ In an interview, she revealed that she created her channel for entertainment purposes only and to take a break from her hectic academic schedule; however, her content was short-lived.

• In 2020, due to the pandemic, Barry had enough time on her plate which she utilised by creating and uploading funny and entertaining content on social media. She uploaded her first video as an Instagram challenge.
