She said that if the Quran allows idol worship, then Muslims are also welcome in the Garba program, they can participate in the Garba program with their entire family. - Usha Thakur was born and brought up in a middle-class family in Sangam Nagar, Indore.
- During an interview, Usha Thakur said that while growing up she decided not to get married, and she believed that one of her family members should devote his/her life to country service.
- After her father’s retirement, her father started a cow shelter which is managed by Usha.
- In her teens, she developed an interest in Hindi literature.
- She is a devotional singer and often performs in various religious events. Usha Thakur, along with 100 bhajan troupes of Indore, has been reciting Sunderkand in different parts of the city for a few years.
