Shreyas Mendiratta is an Indian actor, social media influencer, and digital content creator, who became an Instagram sensation for his humourous content and relatable reels in 2020.

Growing up in New Delhi, Shreyas developed a sense of humour by reading children’s comics like Champak. He was the class clown at school, who made friends by making them laugh. While talking about the same in an interview, he said,

I always wondered, “How do we make Friends?” It was not until Class 3 that I found the secret to become an approachable figure – Sense of Humour and Wisdom….I stumbled upon a bunch of “Champak” Comics during the Summer Vacation, which had a whole section in it dedicated to Jokes for Kids. I read those and couldn’t stop laughing. I made a separate Notebook where I’d use to write them down. When school reopened, I shared those Jokes with the whole class. As I had expected, everyone laughed. I made this into a regular habit, and soon enough, I had developed the ‘Class Clown’ persona; always making others laugh. “

At school, he would actively participate in various extra curriculum activities. He was in Class 6 when he first performed on stage. Soon, he inclined towards performing arts and developed a passion for theatre and acting.

Thereafter, he became a part of the Expressions Theatre Club, the theatre society of DPS RK Puram, and performed in various intra-school, inter-school, and national-level competitions.

He started learning to play the guitar when he was in Class 9. Soon, he realised that he had a passion for music and mesmerizing voice.

Simultaneously, he established a YouTube channel and Instagram page, where he would show his creative side by posting music videos like guitar covers of various songs.

Eventually, he started combining music with comedy to create content for social media.

While pursuing an MBBS, he also started training in acting and cinema at the Global Actors Group, a Drama school in New Delhi.
