• Girish Maruti Ernak started his Kabaddi journey in 2005 when his physical training teacher recognised his passion for sports as Girish also used to play cricket in his school. Soon, Girish realised that he was more inclined towards Kabaddi and hence chose it as his career.

• Girish Ernak was part of the Air India Kabaddi team before he became part of the Pro Kabaddi League.

• In 2015, he was picked up by the team ‘Patna Pirates’ to play as a defender in the second season of the Pro Kabaddi League.

• In 2016, Girish was selected by the team ‘Bengal Warriors’ to play in the third and fourth seasons of the Pro Kabaddi League.
