• Lucky Bisht was born into a family that has served in the Indian military for generations.

• He is a follower of Goddess Kamakhya.

• After spending the initial years of his childhood in Uttarakhand, Lucky shifted to Mansarovar in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where he completed his formal education.

• When he was 16 years old, he attended a recruitment rally of the Indian Army in Nagaland.

• Bisht was initially unsure about the decision to join the Indian Army. He, however, decided to give it a try after his parents motivated him,

• Bisht also said that he decided to go to Nagaland after his parents told him that they would give Rs. 600 to him, which he thought he would spend lavishly in a year if he did not get selected for the army.

• After getting selected for the army, he underwent basic military training and joined the Border Road Organisations (BRO) as a non-commissioned officer at the age of 18.

• In 2004, he became a member of the Secret Service branch of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). He received training at several military institutions across India before beginning his career in the agency.

• His first posting as an R&AW agent was in Nagaland, where he worked on gathering information about the insurgent groups, like NSCN and ULFA, operating in the northeastern parts of India.

• As an agent, he served many overseas tenures in countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Congo. He undertook many secret operations on behalf of the Indian government.

• After some time, he was sent to Israel, where he was trained to become a sniper/marksman by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) special forces. He was among the few Indians chosen to attend the course. He trained with special forces of different countries in Israel from 2004 to mid-2006.

• He was later sent to Karnataka, where he received advanced commando training at the Commando School.

• He also underwent specialised training in explosive engineering, espionage tactics, and battlefield craft.

• Bisht has also served at Army War College in Mhow and Assam Rifles (a paramilitary force operating under the guidance of the Indian Army in the north east).

• After serving in R&AW for some time, he was selected to undergo training for the National Security Guard (NSG) at Manesar.

• He then joined the Special Ranger Group (SRG) of the NSG. SRG protects VVIP individuals such as Chief Ministers, Prime Ministers, and the President.

• Due to his specialisation, Lucky served as the Principal Security Officer (PSO) from 2007 to 2011 of Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he was the CM of Gujarat. He also served in the security detail of President Barack Obama when he visited India in 2010.

• He then served with the 21st Special Forces Battalion (Para SF) in the northeast. He led an important operation under which he captured a huge cache of weapons belonging to the militants and received a commendation from the Eastern Army commander.

• In 2009, he was declared as the Best NSG Commando.

• He later was appointed as a bomb expert at the National Bomb Data Center of the NSG.

• In 2011, he was arrested by the Uttarakhand Police on the charges of double murder.

• He reportedly was transferred frequently from one jail to another eleven times.

• While he was in jail from 2011 to 2015, his service was suspended from the armed forces. Despite the suspension, he used to receive 50 per cent of his actual salary.

• In 2018, he rejoined his military service but resigned in 2019 to pursue a career in the Hindi film industry.

• According to him, he was once offered to join Chhota Rajan. He also received offers to join D. P. Yadav and Prakash Pandey’s criminal groups.

• After he refused the offer to work for Rajan, Bisht began receiving threats from the Chhota Rajan gang.

• In a podcast, Lucky Bisht revealed that the Chinese Premiere Zhou Enlai, who died in a plane crash, was killed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

• After leaving the forces, he relocated to Mumbai, where he worked as a scriptwriter for some time at Adit Sharma’s Flying Hat Productions.

• In 2019, he launched his film production company Lucky Commando Films (LCF).

• Under the banner of LCF, he has produced many Hindi films such as The Maniac (2019), Kaun Saab (Who is it?) (2019), Acche Din (2019), and Omaya (2019).

• He revealed, in an interview, that he has often been accused of killing more than 159 High-value Targets (HVTs) in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Africa. This has led to him being referred to as a contract killer and not an intelligence officer.

• As per sources, he was called Agent Lima when he was in R&AW. However, he has denied having this name as a codename.

• Lucky has also served as an intelligence officer in many United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions in various countries.

• Lucky had a girlfriend who left him when he was imprisoned in 2011. He did not tell her about being an R&AW agent and told her he used to work in a call centre.

• In 2022, he announced that he would produce a film titled Victoria Cross Gabbar Singh Negi.

• In 2024, a book, R.A.W. Hitman: The Real Story of Agent Lima by Hussain Zaidi, on the life of Lucky Bisht was published.

• Lucky Bisht is multi-lingual and is fluent in Hindi, Garhwali, Kumaoni, and Chinese languages.

• He is an avid animal lover and owns a pet dog named Dollar.

• During his service in the military, Lucky Bisht is credited with 139 confirmed sniper kills, making him one of the most proficient marksmen in the world.

• In November 2024, he received an offer to enter the Hindi reality TV show Bigg Boss Season 18, which he declined. He reportedly was offered a large sum of money to enter the show as a wild card entrant.
