In June 2024, Suraj Revanna was arrested for various allegations against him including sexually abusing a party worker and abduction. According to the report, he was accused of sexually assaulting a 27 year old man at his farmhouse in Ghannikada, Karnataka on 16 June 2024; however, Suraj refused all the allegations and said that it was just a political agenda and also claimed that the party worker had tried to extort money from Suraj by threatening to file a false complaint of sexual assault against him. On the day of his arrest, he was presented in a local court where he was granted 14 days judicial custody.
