• After graduating from Military School of Gendarmerie in Ankara he became a corporal and started his duty in Mardin.

• In 2000, he became a sergeant and served for one year in Istanbul.

• Later, he was appointed to the Turkish Gendarmerie sports club in Ankara.

• In 2001, he started his shooting career and competed for the military national team in Turkey.

• In 2012, he qualified for the Paris Olympics in the 10m air pistol men’s event and was a part of the 50m pistol event but did not qualify for the final round.

• In 2013, he scored 578 and won a gold medal in the European Championships in the 25m standard pistol team event and a gold medal in the 25m centre fire pistol team competition in Osijek with his teammates Fatih Kavruk and Murat Kılınç scoring 590 points.

• In 2021, he won a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Team event at the European Championships in Osijek with teammates Serdar Demirel and Ismail Keleş scoring 16 points in the final.

• In 2024, a picture of him went viral, where he was seen shooting without wearing any safety gear, barely visible earplugs, and wearing regular spectacles at the Summer Olympics Games in Paris. According to sources, he stated in an interview that he prefers shooting without gears as being lightweight helps him focus more while shooting.
