Chris Carmack was interested in sports during his school days and played various sports such as football, baseball, and basketball.

He shifted his focus from sports to theatre and was part of several productions.

He dropped out from the Tisch School of The Arts, New York University when the fashion photographer John Yannella offered modelling assignments to him.

Some of his modelling works were for Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F), Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Elle France, and Guess, Inc.
