Controversies | • Accused of making objectionable remarks against Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje In 2020, an FIR was registered against him for allegedly making offensive remarks in a TV show against the then MP of Maharashtra, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje. He was granted an anticipatory bail in 2022 by the High Court of Bombay. • Arrested for allegedly inciting violence On 8 April 2022, after his participation in the MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation) staffers' strike, he was arrested and accused of inciting violence and disrupting public order. He was arrested by the Satara police on 14 April 2022 and was later released on bail. • Arrested for allegedly extorting money by cheating the MSRTC workers He was arrested by the Akot police on 19 April 2022 for cheating by extorting money from the MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation) workers. Later, he was released on bail. • Accused of allegedly promoting enmity among different groups On 20 April 2022, an FIR was registered against him in a Solapur court for allegedly promoting enmity among different groups and for contempt of court. He was later given interim protection from getting arrested by the court. • Suspended from practicing law In 2023, his license was suspended for 2 years by the State Bar Council as he was found guilty of misconduct under Section 35 of the Advocates Act of 1961 and for protesting while dressed in the lawyer uniform. • Removed from the directorship of ST Bank In May 2024, he was removed from the position of directorship along with his wife by the Cooperative Commissioner after the president of the ST Bank, Sandeep Shinde filed a complaint against the couple for mismanagement of the bank. |
