- Priya used to play badminton in her childhood, but later, she shifted her focus towards cricket at the age of nine. Her father also used to play cricket for the university and badminton and kabaddi at the state level.
- Priya is an avid dog lover.
- Priya’s father always wanted her to become a cricketer. In 2010, he spent his savings and sold his house to provide her with a cricket ground with a turf pitch so that she could practice in the off-season as well.
- Priya likes to maintain her fitness and hit the gym.
- Priya was selected for the India under 19 team at the age of 13.
- Priya came into the limelight in 2015 while playing for India A against New Zealand. She came to bat at number 3 while chasing the target of 257 runs and scored 59 runs off 42 balls.
- Priya scored 407 runs in 8 matches at an average of 50 in the 2018 One Day Championship.
