|Controversies||• Criticised For Supporting Riyan Parag's Aggressive Behaviour: In May 2022, during an IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans, RR batsman Riyan Parag invited harsh criticism after he gave R Ashwin a death scare following a run-out in the match. Post the match, Suryakumar Yadav sparked a controversy for his tweet on Riyan Parag's on field attitude. He tweeted,
"Amazing attitude on the field #riyanparag #RRvGT"
His tweet irked the the Twitterverse, who criticised him for supporting Riyan’s aggressive behaviour. Later, Yadav made another tweet to clarify that his earlier tweet was for Parag's electrifying performance on the ground and not for his antics. Hindustan Times
• Criticised For His 'Hothead' Nature: During the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy, Suryakumar yadav allegedly got involved in a spat with his teammate Shardul Thakur. He was the captain of the Mumbai's team at that time. Apparently, the two ended into a clash after their disagreement on a particular field setting during a match. Some Lesser Known Facts About Suryakumar Yadav
- Suryakumar Yadav is an Indian cricketer, who mostly bats in the middle order for the Indian national cricket team. In January 2023, Yadav ranked first in the ICC player rankings for T20 Batsmen in the world. NDTV Sports Popular for his 360-degree shots, Suryakumar Yadav hits shots all around the ground, producing uppercuts, inside-out drives, ramps, pulls, scoops, lofts, sweeps, and reverse sweeps in profusion. He is also known for his signature ‘sweep shot’ that he plays against fast bowlers to hit 6s over the deep square leg.
- He grew up in a middle-class family in Hathouda village of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
- Inclined towards cricket from a young age, Suryakumar played gully cricket in the streets of Varanasi in childhood. Later, he started practising cricket at Dr Sampurnanand Sports Stadium, Sigra, Varanasi, where his paternal uncle Vinod Kumar was his coach.
- When he was 10 years old, Yadav, along with his family, moved to Mumbai, where his father worked as a chief engineer at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
