Gloria De Piero, shadow minister for women and equalities, slammed the Tory MP and asked for apology. He later apologized for his tweet and wrote, "So just for the avoidance of any doubt: I am v sorry for tweet," he said. "It was wrong to joke abt punching + I completely withdraw and apologize." However, Alibhai-Brown did not accept his apology. During an interview with LBC radio, she claimed that the MP was trying to instigate the people who advocated violence against her. She dismissed his apology as a way of getting out of a heated situation and said, "Is this his apology? Well, he can stuff it. I don't want to talk to him at all." Fabricant later issued a series of tweets and apologized again by personally tagging the journalist. His supporters also tweeted out his photos holding a placard that read, "Real men don't hit women." [3]The Guardian
