  • After her marriage at age 27, she moved to Delhi from Kolkata, where she worked for the National School of Drama Repertory Company, New Delhi, for a long period.

  • While working at the National School of Drama Repertory Company, she met the Saudi-Indian theatre director, Ebrahim Alkazi, also referred to as the father of Modern Indian Theatre. She joined Alkazi’s Living Theatre, where she remained until her pregnancy.
