- On 1 June 2025, at around 3:30 PM, Soliman attacked a gathering at Pearl Street Mall, Boulder, Colorado, during an event organised by Run for Their Lives, a group supporting Israeli hostages.
- He wore an orange safety vest to look like a gardener, and carried flowers bought from Home Depot in Castle Rock. He also had a backpack sprayer filled with gasoline, which he wore during the attack.
- He started planning the attack in mid-2024, about one year before the incident. He waited to carry out the plan early but put it on hold because of his daughter’s graduation.
- He tried to buy a gun but was unable to purchase it as he was a non-citizen. He then decided to use Molotov cocktails and a gasoline-filled weed sprayer.
- He watched YouTube videos to learn how to make Molotov cocktails and prepared around 18 fire-causing devices, which he stored in a black plastic container. The weapons were made using wine carafes and gasoline.
- Soliman shouted Free Palestine!, threw two lit Molotov cocktails at the group, and used the weed sprayer as a makeshift flamethrower. He told police later that he sprayed gasoline only on himself because he wanted to die.
- Twelve people were injured in the attack. Two victims were taken to the burn unit at UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, one in critical condition. Others had minor injuries and were later released.
- Among the injured were at least four women and four men, aged between 52 and 88 years. One of the victims is a Holocaust survivor, confirmed by Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser.
- Soliman was arrested by Boulder police near the scene, where officers also found the black plastic container with 14 unlit Molotovs, the weed sprayer, and a red gas container.
- Police found red rags, a gasoline container, and papers with words Israel, Palestine, and USAID, in his Toyota Prius parked near the attack site.
- Soliman admitted during interrogation that he had been planning the attack for a year. He said he hated the Zionist group, wanted them all to die, and had no regrets.
- He told agents he left a journal and an iPhone 14 with messages for his family in a desk drawer at home, expecting he would die in the attack.
- He appeared in Boulder County Court on 2 June 2025, wearing an orange jail uniform and head bandages.
- He was later kept at Boulder County Jail on a $10 million bond. His next court appearance was scheduled on 5 June 2025 for the filing of formal charges.

- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) condemned the attack and said that Soliman’s actions do not represent the peaceful movement supporting Palestinians.
- His daughter revealed in early 2025 that he once underwent surgery, which helped him walk again.
