  • Nikita Luther grew up in a military household in New Delhi.
  • Nikita was always passionate about mathematics and loved solving puzzles and equations from a young age. In school, she was the kind of student who eagerly sat in the front row with her hand raised during math class.
  • Luther worked as a brand manager at Red Bull from 2008 to 2009.
  • She worked as a summer intern at Standard Chartered from June to July 2009.
  • In 2009, Nikita joined Philip Morris International as a marketing manager and worked there for one year.
  • At first, Nikita was unsure about playing poker, as she thought of it as just another form of gambling. However, her perspective changed when she discovered online poker and realised it was all about logic, strategy, and solving complex problems.
  • Nikita first got into poker through the online platform Zynga. She played it just for fun while continuing to work in marketing after earning a Bachelor of Commerce.
  • Her first experience with real-money poker came in 2015 at a friend’s birthday party, where she ended up beating everyone at the table. That game sparked her interest, and she soon decided to take up poker professionally.
  • In 2015, Nikita earned her first title by winning the Ladies’ Event at the India Poker Championship held in Goa.
  • In October 2016, she became the Chief Operating Officer of Poker Sports League and held the position until 2019.

  • In 2018, Luther partnered with Giuseppe Pantaleo to win a Tag Team event at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, making her the first Indian female poker player to win a WSOP bracelet.
