  • The incident was live-streamed on Kick. It showed him lifting Smith over his head, hitting him to the mat, and then punching him repeatedly while Smith lay motionless.

  • Other wrestlers quickly intervened to stop him, leaving the crowd in shock.

  • After the incident, journalist Sean Ross Sapp explained that while the match was scripted, Raja Jackson’s punches and Smith’s injuries were real and not planned. Sapp said,

    I thought it was part of the show. It was bad judgment and a work that went wrong.”

    Quinton added that Raja was an MMA fighter, not a professional wrestler and should not have taken part in the wrestling match. He said,

    I do not condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well-being of Mr. Smith.”
