Controversy	Legal Dispute with Former Producers: In 2018, Bishop Briggs ended her production deal with Mark Jackson and Ian Brendon Scott. The producers later sued her for breach of contract. Briggs, however, later countersued, stating she left due to ongoing verbal abuse in the studio. She said the behaviour became more controlling and dismissive as her career gained attention. Although she continued working for a period because she believed in the music, things shifted when songwriter Justin Tranter helped her see that such treatment was not normal. • During her time in Tokyo, she sang in public for the first time at a karaoke bar. This was something that made her realise she wanted to pursue a career as a performer.
