Joshi is an active BJP councilor representing Ward No. 14 of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, covering Sectors 15, 16, 17 and 24 of the city.

Saurabh Joshi began his political journey during his student years at Panjab University, where he was active in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

He contested university student council elections in the early 2000s and was instrumental in strengthening ABVP’s presence on campus
