Some Lesser Known Facts About Anudeep Katikala

• In August 2018, Anudeep Katikala began working as a Process Analyst in udaan.com in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He served in the position till May 2019.

• From September 2021 to July 2023, he served as an Associate Product Manager at Infinity Learn in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

• In March 2023, Anudeep Katikala founded the Silly South Comedy Club in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, where other stand-up comedians could also perform.

• After that, he started organising regular stand-up comedy shows in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

• Once, one of his shows titled The Tollywood Roast Show became a huge hit. The topic of the show was,
  

  We’re going all out on Tollywood and we promise to spare none.”

• In June 2024, he appeared in a television show Comedy Nights, which aired on ETV Telugu.

• In April 2026, Anudeep Katikala made headlines for making jokes on the divorces of South Indian actor and politician Pawan Kalyan. He also used bad words for actor Ram Charan and joked about the failed marriage of Niharika Konidela.

• In the videos, he also talked about feminism and negative perception about divorce.

• Anudeep Katikala said that Ram Charan married Upasana Kamineni, the granddaughter of Prathap C Reddy, who was the founder of Apollo Hospitals. He said that Ram Charan was a feminist, who lives on the wealth of his wife as she was wealthier than Ram Charan.

• He then joked about the marriages and divorces of actors Pawan Kalyan and Niharika Konidela. He said,
  

  One thing I learnt from Pawan Kalyan is how to divorce your wife. All men should learn it.”

• Soon after many of these videos of his stand-up comedy went viral on social media, Bade Venkata Krishna, a Jana Sena Party member, filed a case against him at the Kakinada police station.

• After that, many people gathered outside his venture the Street Comedy Club in Hyderabad and started searching Anudeep.

• In this situation, Anudeep Katikala decided to escape the city. He switched off his phone and flee.

• Many of his fans on various social media platforms urged for a legal action against Anudeep.

• Sandeep Panchakarla, a Jana Sena leader, claimed in the media that Anudeep posted low level comedy and his jokes were rude.

• Sandeep warned Anudeep Katikala and asked him to release an apology video.

• Akepati Subhashini, the Jana Sena State Secretary, also filed a complaint against Anudeep in district Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

• Anudeep Katikala was then detained by the Andhra Pradesh police in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, when he was on a walk with his father.

• Later, he released an apology video in which he claimed that he was sorry for hurting the feelings of his fans. He said,
  

  I apologise for any feelings hurt. This was never my intention. The whole intention of the video was to question toxic fan culture, and we have seen proof of that this weekend.

  In the same video, Anudeep Katikala added that many protestors attacked his friends when he was not in the city. He said,

  The way they attacked my friends mercilessly wasn’t okay, and I wasn’t there in Hyderabad. If not, I would’ve faced you guys. It was not my intention to cause anyone harm. I hope we can move past this. I apologise to the individuals mentioned in the video.”
