  • In April 2026, Gopal Sharan Garg made headlines when he was blamed for misappropriating donated money worth crores and hundred of kilograms of silver. He was also blamed for controlling the management of donated properties worth billions.
  • A member of the All India Agarwal Sammelan named Satyanarayan Mittal filed a case against Gopal Sharan Garg and submitted many documents with the police in support of his accusations. Mittal claimed that Garg worked on the position only for his personal interests.
  • Reportedly, various businessmen from Indian states, including Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh of the Agrawal community are the members of this organisation.

  • The organisation received from five to eleven lakhs from its members across India. However, the money was later not recorded in the official accounts of the organisation.
  • Mittal added that a transaction of Rs. 75 lakh was once done through hawala from Assam. The organisation has received silver donations from temples and construction works.
  • The receipts of the donations showed that the entries of about 197 kilograms of silver donations were not made in the accounts.
