  • Raushan Anand grew up in an economically weak family.
  • After completing his schooling at a local government school in Patna, Bihar, he left his village when he was fifteen years old.
  • He wished to change the fortune and circumstances of his family.
  • He moved from Patna, Bihar, to Kota, Rajasthan, where he prepared for engineering entrance exams.
  • Raushan Anand then cleared AIEEE and secured a seat in Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) in Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand.
  • However, his family could not afford his college and hostel fees, so he quit the college.
  • After that, he refused to go back to his village and prepared for various government examinations.
  • He cleared the Bihar police written examination, but failed the physical entrance test.
  • Raushan Anand then cleared the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC); however, he failed in the final selection round.
  • Later, it became difficult for him to survive in Patna. So, he started teaching to his fellow students, who could not afford fees.
  • He started teaching them and took home cooked food in return.
  • In September 2017, he, alongside Bittu Jha, a co-educator, founded ‘Gyan Bindu GS Academy,’ which was later renamed Gyan Bindu Coaching, a training institute for aspirants of competitive government exams.

  • Raushan Anand then came into the limelight for announcing Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles as rewards to his Top 20 ranked students for the Sub-Inspector recruitment exam.
  • After that, he fulfilled his promise when seven of his students cleared the examination and gifted them bikes in public.

  • On 2 June 2026, he made headlines when he, along with his several associates, was arrested in a case for attacking and vandalising the Khan Global Studies (KGS) educational institution, which is owned by Khan Sir in Patna.
  • They were kept in the Beur Central Jail.
  • Reportedly, more than 20 people destroyed Khan Sir’s property and beat the security guard of the institute.
  • After that, the bodyguards of Khan Sir fired two shots in the air to stop the violence.

  • In June 2026, the conflict between the two coaching centres started because of the results of the Bihar Police recruitment examination.
  • Reportedly, both institutes claimed that they had helped a large number of successful candidates. One coaching centre claimed that 12,000 students had passed because of its coaching, while the other claimed credit for 10,000 successful candidates.
  • The two institutes also torn each other’s hoardings and posters.
  • In February 2026, when the results for 24 Forest Range Officer posts were announced, a student named Abhishek Kumar, also known as Abhishek Patel, secured the first rank in the exam. Soon after, both coaching centres claimed that he was their student.
  • On 28 March 2026, Abhishek Patel visited the coaching institute of Khan Sir to receive his honour.
  • This incident upset Raushan Anand, who later shared his WhatsApp chats with Patel publicly, where Patel was seen discussing a course with him.
