• Gautami Tadimalla is a renowned actress, costume designer, social worker, and politician. She predominately known for her work in Tamil and Telugu cinema, in addition to Malayalam, Hindi, and Kannada films.

• She was born and raised into a doctor Telugu family.

• Because of her parents’ professions, she spent her childhood in different cities including Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, and parts of Kerala.

• After schooling, she enrolled at GITAM College in Visakhapatnam to study engineering; however, she left her studies in the first year of her course after receiving film offers.

• In an interview, Gautami revealed that her entry into films happened unexpectedly when director Vijaya Chander, who was related to her family noticed her and offered her a role in the film.

• In 1987, she made her acting debut in a cameo role in the Telugu film, Dayamayudu. In the same year, she appeared in Gandhinagar Rendava Veedhi (1987) in lead role, which bought her early recognition in Telugu cinema.

• In 1987, Gautami Tadimalla also entered Kannada cinema with the film Elu Suttina Kote.

• In 1988, Gautami made her Tamil debut with the film Guru Sishyan, alongside actors Rajnikanth and Prabhu.
