  • Bhandari moved to the Centre in 2018. He worked as Private Secretary to the Union Human Resource Development Minister from January to September 2018.
  • He then became Joint Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, and served till January 2023.
  • From March 2023 to July 2025, he served as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
