Some Lesser Known Facts About Roberto Soldić
- Roberto Soldić was born in Vitez, Bosnia and Herzegovina in a family of Croats. In the school he played soccer, and later, he joined a local judo club in Vitez.
- He also soon found himself preferring martial arts and eventually came to focus entirely on judo and, more recently, mixed martial arts (MMA).
- Since Vitez didn’t have any proper training facilities, Soldić trained at various gyms in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
- The first time Soldić fought in his MMA debut was on 19th September 2014 at AFC 3, Arti Fighting Championship 3 in Ljubuški, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- He faced Ante Alilović in the lightweight class, and won by TKO in the second round at 2:50.
- He then defeated Mladen Ponjević at an MMA event in Metković, Croatia by guillotine choke in the first round at 35 seconds later the same year.
- In the second round, he knocked out Vladimir Prodanović in the second round at 1 minute and 30 seconds, capturing the attention of local media.
