While she was in school, she used to participate in various athletic competitions like 100m race, 200m race, 400m race, Relay race, long jump, and high jump.

In 2012, she started working as a fashion groomer, and in the same year, she participated in the Miss India beauty pageant. She was selected among the top-20 contestants and was then eliminated from the contest. In the sub contest of the beauty pageant, she received Miss Globetrotter and Best Walk titles.

In 2012, she participated in another beauty pageant Miss India World Supermodel and won the contest. The contest was held in Sydney.

I work out for 45mins in the gym, I don’t really do much. I was born with good gene like my parents were athletes so I basically don’t gain fat that much. My best feature is my legs. My long legs stand out from the entire crowd. And whatever costumes that showcase legs the choreography or designers comes to me.”
Aastha has been associated with various social activities for a very long time. She has raised funds for ‘HelpAge India’ an organisation for aged people. She is also associated with the charitable foundation Each One Teach One.
