  • He was the eldest son of Prince Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, a notable member of the Saudi royal family. Additionally, he was the nephew of billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and the great-grandson of King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia.

  • His mother also belongs to a royal family.
  • Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud studied in a military academy in London.
  • In 2005, when he was 15 years old, he was involved in a fatal car accident in London. The accident caused a serious brain haemorrhage and internal bleeding, which left him in a deep coma from which he never recovered.
  • After giving initial treatment to him in London’s hospital, his family transported him to King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he was placed on a ventilator and feeding tube.
