- Ann Kaplan Mulholland was raised by her stepfather, Don Ho, in British Columbia, Canada. She met her biological father, Berne Hal-Mann, at the age of 17.
- Her mother later remarried a dentist named Richard Roseborough.
- She once brought a girl to Canada from Ethiopia for life-saving surgery and adopted her.
- She has 17 siblings overall from the mean her mother married.
- During her teenage years, she competed in the lightweight category as a bodybuilder and even finished second in the two provincial tournaments.
