• Annie Khalid is a Pakistan-born an English-Pakistani musician and model. She was born to a Kashmiri father and a Yemeni mother.

• She started her musical career in late 2005.

• One of her friends made her meet to a music arranger who helped her compose the simple & catchy song “Mahiya”.

• The video of “Mahiya” song was first released in Pakistan and then the Bollywood film producer Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt expressed their desire to use the song Mahiya, for their movie Awarapan which gained her more fame and fan following.
