• In an interview, she said that she got her artistic talent from her mother, who used to work as an actor at Kerala People’s Arts Club (KPAC) before marriage. Later, her mother quit acting as her father did not allow her to act after marriage.

• She learned acting and dancing from her teacher Deepa and took part in many school plays.

• Apsara later took part in an acting camp at her school and was featured in a documentary which gave her the confidence to pursue a career in acting.

• Her father died in an accident when she was studying in 8th standard.
