  • Ashok Raj Sigdel grew up in a middle-class family.
  • His father, Bishwaraj Sigdel, first lived in Tanahun before relocating to Taulihawa and then Bhairahawa in Nepal.
  • Ashok pursued his schooling in Kathmandu under the care of his maternal uncle. During this time, he also made a mark as a national-level boxer, Taekwondo athlete, and table tennis player.
