  • He started his acting career with a theatre group in Patna.
  • In 1995, Awdhesh, along with his wife and two children, moved to Mumbai from Patna to make a career in acting; however, he couldn’t succeed in getting any suitable offer. Later, he started working in the field of painting, a childhood skill. During his stay in Mumbai, he also worked as a taxi driver.
  • When he failed to get any offer in films, he started giving auditions for various television shows, but he failed there too, and eventually, in 2005, he was offered to play the role of a villain in the Bhojpuri film ‘Dulha Aisan Chahi’ in which he worked alongside the Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan. Reportedly, he received Rs. 2500 as his salary for this film. His performance in the film earned him praise from both audiences as well as critics.
  • In 2005, he portrayed lord Shiva in a Maithili language video song “Kakhan Harab Dukh Mor.” Later, he appeared in many popular Bhojpuri films, such as Devra Bada Satawela (2010), Damru (2018), Saugandh Ganga Maiya Ke (2012), Mai Sehra Bandh Ke Aaunga (2017), Chhora Ganga Kinare Wala (2015), Naagdev (2018), and Meri Jung Mera Faisla (2019).

  • In 2014, he made his Tamil debut with the film Poojai in which he played the role of Rai Bahadur. In 2015, he played the role of Jabbar Singh in the Bollywood film Dirty Politics.
  • In 2018, he earned laurels for playing the role of Trikal in the Bhojpuri film Naagdev. Interestingly, Awadhesh, in the real-life, has a close acquaintance with snakes, especially with the King Cobra.
