  • He started his career as a theatre artist and participated in various drama competitions in a music college in Vadodara, Gujarat. After performing in theatre plays in Gujarat, he shifted to Mumbai to make his career as a theatre artist.
  • He then developed an interest in mimicry and participated in a mimicry competition held at Open Gate Theatre in Dhobi Talao, Mumbai. Dinesh has performed in various mimicry shows.
  • In 1985, he appeared in the Doordarshan TV show ‘Paying Guest’ in which he played the role of Somnath.
